Shipments within the UK:

Shipping is free for orders that total over £150 net.
For orders under £150 net we add a charge of £12.50 for handling and delivery.
All orders aim to arrive the following day if the order is placed before 4.00 pm.

Further delivery options are available for the UK if urgent delivery is required. The full carriage charge list is :-

  • Next Day – £12.50
  • Assured Before 9am – £45.00
  • Guaranteed Before 10.30am – £31.50
  • Guaranteed Before 12 Noon – £25.00
  • Saturday before 10.30am – £45.00

All charges are per 20kg and are charged at 40p per kg thereafter.
As a company we have an agreement with a 3rd party that allows the customer to track their delivery through a unique tracking number and contact us in case of any faults or queries with the promised delivery. Please note the delivery charges are for UK Mainland only, please enquire for carriage costs to the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland.

Shipments outside of the UK:

Being a company we also ship worldwide, using many different carrier services depending on the final location of the customer. When quoting for our products we will tell you the carriage charge to your country and what the delivery time is. With every delivery we send a confirmation note which can be referred to in case of any queries.

Managed Stock Systems

In recent years industry has moved increasingly towards single sourcing of fastenings and small components through managed stock systems. Francis Kirk & Son offer this service, where appropriate, which improves efficiency and reduces administration costs. Customers are then able to concentrate more on other aspects of their business, forgetting the daily routine of buying low cost and time consuming items.
Various facilities are available from a simple one bin feed system through to two bin or sometimes three bin system supplied to stores on shop floor.

The reduction of supplier numbers and installation of a managed stock system cuts costs significantly by:-

  • ✓ Reducing stock inventory, improving cash flow
  • ✓ Decreasing stock losses
  • ✓ Eliminating order chasing/ progress calls
  • ✓ Demand fluctuations managed by KIRK’s.

After a review of your needs we would assess the most appropriate system and recommend either:-

1. Single Bin – Simple and effective, sited wherever most efficient. Monitoring at agreed intervals topped up to pre-set levels. Either customers bins or Kirk’s bins supply would be utilized.

2. Two Bins – As 1. but each item is duplicated, bins being stored adjacent to or behind each other as one is emptied and awaiting refill the second is being used.

Monthly invoices are issued to cover any supplies, payment being received nett 30 days. A purchasing agreement for a minimum of 12 months is required, which would include provision for a notice period and customer responsibility for the stock of special items.
